How is the United Way Accountable to You?

  • Each agency is required annually to submit a Certified Audit or Financial Review
  • Community Investment volunteers conduct yearly program budget reviews of all agency program services to be sure funds are being using wisely
  • Volunteers monitor agency services to avoid duplication of services
  • Volunteers conduct timely surveys to determine real community needs and priorities and then work to bring about collaborations and services to meet those needs
  • Agencies sign a yearly United Way / Partner Agency Agreement following nonprofit accounting standards as well as an agreed upon funds generation policy
