How is the United Way Accountable to You?
Each agency has its own volunteer Board of Directors
Each agency is required annually to submit a Certified Audit or Financial Review
Community Investment volunteers conduct yearly program budget reviews of all agency program services to be sure funds are being using wisely
Volunteers monitor agency services to avoid duplication of services
Volunteers conduct timely surveys to determine real community needs and priorities and then work to bring about collaborations and services to meet those needs
Agencies sign a yearly United Way / Partner Agency Agreement following nonprofit accounting standards as well as an agreed upon funds generation policy
