Accountability matters. At United Way of Medina County, we believe that accountability matters. When you make a contribution to United Way of Medina County, you can be assured that the money will be used to meet the priority needs in our community. Donors can rest assured that every contribution is tracked and accounted for. United Way is an independent locally run charity led and governed by an independent board of trustees comprised of leading Medina County community and business leaders. United Way of Medina County has a series of financial controls and layers of checks and balances, and has a system in place to specifically monitor our expense reports which are then approved by the Chair of the Finance Committee. UWMC adheres to a locally developed and adopted code of ethics for volunteers and staff, which includes provision for ethical management, publicity, fundraising practices and full and fair disclosure. In addition to the United Way of Medina County internal controls, all aspects of our finances are subject to an annual independent audit by Humpal, Jones & Company, 60 Public Square, Suite 200, Medina, Ohio 44256.
