Health: Improving People's Health

In order to be healthy, Medina County residents need to do more than just see a doctor regularly. Their are health risks for all age groups from children to seniors that need to be met.  United Way funds agency programs that provide for the health and safety of some of our most vulnerable citizens.

Total 2010-2011 agency allocations for Health programs:  $244,200

     Battered Women's Shelter: Crisis Shelter
     Catholic Charities Services: Case Management
     Cathy's House: Substance Abuse Shelter
     Faith in Action: Home Assistance/Transportation
     Mobile Meals: Home Delivered Meals
     Rape Crisis Center: Crisis Intervention
     Society for Handicapped Citizens: Assisted Living Skills  and Adult Day Care
